I guess I will start it off.  I am a Wildland Firefighter.  I am kind of new to the internet, but not to wildfires.  I would love to see this site grow.

What are you certified in??   I know AvueDigital services handles a lot of forest service applications.  Out west there are more contract business that do fire suppression, that might be a good place to start.  I wish you luck getting your foot in the door.  The process should be easier than it is.

All I know is that the training was the basic wildland firefighter ii, s130/s190/L180/I100. I am in desperit need of work. I have been lookin but I am not finding anything for firelind crews. I cant get in contact with the instructor from the class. And I just found out about the Washington state fires and there is no info on crews or anything. So I hope to get some help..

Thank you and have a nice Day/Night

There are a couple of other forum boards out there that might prove more useful.  It seems no one wants to respond to anything on this one.  If anyone has any useful insight please don't hesitate to post it.  This could be a very useful resource if used properly.  Thanks

Yeh progress is slow on here. We need to pass the word on this thing and get it going.

Ill intorduce myself here, My name is Roger, founder of the site. Im 40 years old, a wildland firefighter for the state of Tennessee. I have 19 years in structural fire and five in wildland. Im firefighter type I and II, engine boss, crew boss and dozer boss, ICT4. Trained in state disaster management, EOC operations and god knows what else I have obtained over the years lol.

I hope to get people coming to this site to share information, stories, news and experiences. Without these we wont progress. Knowledge is a valuable tool and hopefully we will get some info flowing here.
