Taz

I notice youre in Washington state. Are you looking to get into this on a local level or federal? If youre lookiing to go federal you can contact your local federal park service and inquires about their positions. Federal park service calls them Technicians. They can arrange something for you Im sure.

Try this and if you have no luck get back to me and I will see if I can dig out some contacts. In addition you may want to look into getting some seasonal work for the time being with your local forestry division, most of them hire seasonal firefighters. They have other work programs as well to cover the summer seasons. I do this and I work pretty much year round for the Division of Forestry as an Aide 1

Hello, I'm a volunteer firefighter from southcentral PA.  I was on a state Type II crew back in the 90's and got to go to Idaho and California.  Now I stay in state and volunteer as a forest fire warden for the PA Bureau of Forestry.  I'm also an instructor for the PA-130/S-130/and S-190 courses.
