Has anyone had any experience with the big mulching heads (Fecon)?  I would like to see one in action to see if they would be fast enough to use in combination with a dozer on a fire.

I would also like to have one personally, so it would be nice for an agency to be a guinea pig.

I assume your talking about for clearing mid range heavy brush areas that normally pose more of a problem with dozers right? such as snagging in the tracks, having to push piles left and right etc.

Ive not seen the Fecon in action but have seen a few others work. They are somewhat slow so one would have to give himself a good lead on the fire. If the fire was close enough to pose a threat may as well add some ACs to it and pick a new line.

Thanks, I didn't know if they would be fast enough or not.  Might be good for Rx fires then.
